Foundation Capital Investment and Advisory’s management team brings many years of experience and depth of expertise to the advice provided, be it of a personal or corporate nature.

The financial planning and advisory arm of Foundation Capital Investment and Advisory, is a recent addition to the scope of services offered by the business. In addition to over 100 years of professional expertise provided to retail and wholesale clients, financial planning clients will benefit from the many years of a successful investment selection process. Your advisor shall be using the very latest in financial planning software, incorporating the very latest in communication technologies, where appropriate. Our financial planning services, will be provided on a ‘fee for service’ basis. Foundation Capital will not receive or accept commissions or brokerage, except in respect of risk insurances (and then only with the agreement of the client).

In respect of investment sourcing and underwriting venture capital, Foundation Management’s senior management team is responsible for all aspects of the investment cycle. The team identifies investment opportunities, undertakes due diligence and then, if approved, finalises the investments. Once the investment has been made, the management team works closely with investee companies, monitoring performance and providing expertise and advice when required
Gavin Miles
B Comm, CA (Financial Planning Specialist) / Responsible Manager/Financial Advisor
Gavin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975, after completing a Commerce Degree at UWA. He has been a Financial Planner for over 22 years. He has previous owned and operated his own financial planning practice, and more recently, he was a partner of a large financial planning practice. Prior to financial planning, he was a Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of three electronics companies; a leading broadland farmer; agricultural diploma lecturer; auditor and then tax accountant.

Over the past five years, Gavin has engaged in charitable activities, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Black Dog Ride Australia Limited, and is the Treasurer and Immediate Past President of the Lions Club of Claremont Nedlands. Gavin is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, with the designation of Financial Planning Specialist and has a Diploma of Financial Planning.
